December came and went so fast, but was fun while it lasted. Ben's boss took us to see the Lion King in Vegas for his work party. We ate at P.F. Chang's and then went to the show. I LOVE that play. The music is so beautiful and the actors voices are always extremely powerful (I've seen it twice now, once in Boston). I always cry in the opening scene when all of the animals come onto the stage. A little embarrassing, but true. We had friends over for a christmas party. I forgot to take pictures of the actual party. But we had soup in bread bowls, played the candy bar game (a vicious fight for chocolate) and sat around talking. It was good to spend time with the friends we have made here in Saint George. I have been trying to get the nursery put together. Until now, it was just a giant storage room for things. So in order to clean it out, we needed a new place to store stuff. The answer? We decided to build shelves in our garage. Since neither of us is handy (despite the fact that Ben thinks he is...), we enlisted the help of my dad, who actually is handy, and my sisters. After the better half of a Saturday morning, a broken drill bit that is now stuck in the wall (my doing), and ZERO swear words (a Christmas miracle!) the shelves were finished. Thanks to Dad, Michelle and Jessi our dream of having shelves in the garage is complete!
Christmas was quiet but good. Ben got stuff for his bike trip to Turkey and I got three chairs for the playroom I am redoing. I will post pictures of the playroom when it is done (which will hopefully be soon). Ben is in Turkey. He left Sunday night, was waylaid in London for a day but is now safely in Turkey with his brother and having the ride of his life. I miss him. It is really really lonely with him gone, which is probably the reason I am finally catching up my blog. He will be home in a week and a half. I can't wait because I HATE doing laundry, dishes and putting gas in the car which my amazing husband always does for me.

Bummer, you should have told me he was gone, and I would have come down. I love when you post pictures. I can't believe how big your sisters are! Man, I am really getting old aren't I... Geriatrics here I come!
Love your pictures! I also enjoyed seeing, first hand, your new shelves. Now I am in trouble for the cluttered method of storage on our garage shelves I seem to employ.
Ben does all that stuff for you? Hope Deb doesn't read this......
The time will go fast and he will be home with both of you holding memories of his trip, I expect.
