it's official. we are having a girl. i am completely shocked because i thought we were going to have a boy. we went for the ultrasound last tuesday and were told we are going to have a girl. the doctor wasn't there, just the ultrasound tech. later that night, the doctor called to tell us that our baby might have spina bifida, and that we would need to see a specialist. we were both extremely worried. i didn't sleep for the next two nights until our appointment. thankfully, the specialist took one look at the ultrasound pictures and said everything looked fine. we feel so blessed that everything is okay and are so relieved. with that scare behind us, we are looking forward to our little girl getting here.

we are glad lily will have another girl cousin and one that lives closer...they will only be 2 years difference and when they get older that is a fun gap
