With all that is happening, we are trying to focus on enjoying each day. So, here is the latest in the Ben Thomas Family:
We bought Emmy a Johnny Jump Up. The Jenny Jump Up was ULTRA pink, and we figured if we manage to get a baby boy it wouldn't go over well (especially because our baby swing is already pink). Emmy doesn't seem to mind. All she cares about is sucking on the edges. In fact, she hasn't really gotten the jumping part down....
Ben's parents came to Saint George right after Ben was diagnosed. We spent an afternoon in Zion with them. It was really hot, but we did a small hike that was mostly shaded. My eyes look swollen from 1. crying and 2. lack of sleep. I think I need to get one of those cucumber eye masks...
My brother Nathan and his partner Keith came from NYC to visit. We convinced them they needed to experience the wild wild west by eating at Texas Roadhouse...I can't get enough of their rolls. and cinnamon butter. and peanuts. and chicken critter salad. and brownies and ice cream. and you get the idea.
Nathan works for a super trendy company called Design within Reach (think lamps that cost $65,000.00...yes that is not a typo, they really do cost more than a down payment on a house) and they sell the cutest stuffed animals. Nathan got Emmy a Giraffe. Emmy absolutely LOVES it. She holds it all the time and tries to eat it. We have named her GiGi the Giraffe and am hoping we never lose it as it is Emmy's new best friend.

nice update. and max still has his baby giraffe but it isn't as cute as emmies. although he sleeps with it all the time, still after 4 years
Cucumber mask will be in the mail! love the giraffe!!
