Merry Christmas Emmerson

Checking out the loot under the tree I learned how to ride in a shopping cart just in time to do my Christmas shopping.

In my snuggley Christmas pajamas waiting to see what Santa brought

Mom and Dad look tired. That means I'm in charge.

Jumping in my Santa dress is the best. Especially when I get lots of air.

Posing in front of the tree before I attack all the boxes and ornaments.

December was a fun month. We were so excited to have Emmerson with us for her very first Christmas. Especially because last Christmas I was still pregnant, and the only food that didn't make me sick were Swiss Cake Rolls. We woke up and opened presents from each other at our house, then headed to my parents' to celebrate with them. For Christmas Ben gave Emmerson a beautiful "All is Well" necklace that looks exactly like mine (you can see a picture of it on my blog http://www.thruthedeepwaters.blogspot.com/ ). It was so sweet of him. I gave Emmerson some wrapping paper to play with/eat. One of the nurses I work with gaveme a bag of hand-me-downs that just happened to have an adorable little Christmas dress in it as well as Christmas pajamas. It was fun to put her in those. Emmy spent Christmas morning eating wrapping paper and jumping like mad in her jumper. This Christmas was a very sweet experience for us. There was a sense of family like I've never experienced during any other Christmas. Our trials definately make the good sweeter. We feel so blessed to have been able to celebrate Christmas as a family and hope you had a merry Christmas too.
