Updates

I have been wanting to make our office into a playroom and then turn our empty, formal living room into an office, but I have been waiting for a nice desk (ours is from DI, is missing drawers and is only half-painted). I finally found one on ksl for only $150.00. I am so excited. Here is a picture of our new desk and office!

Last saturday I had a babyshower for my friend Megan. She is expecting a boy in December. We had a good turn out and lots of fun. She looks way too cute to be pregnant!

Baby shower food.

Tamarack weeds are rampant in empty lots and since we don't have any landscaping in our backyard, it fell prey to a hostile weed takeover. When we could no longer see our neighbor's house over the weeds (they grow taller than me), Ben and I finally admitted we had a problem. The weeds are too sturdy to weed wack or dig out by hand so I started to call around for pricing to have the weeds bulldozed out. I was devestated when the lowest bid I got was for $250.00. A few mornings later, I woke up to the sound of a tractor outside my window. The developer was bulldozing the weeds out of empty lots around us. Swallowing all my pride, I crossed the street (in pajamas and with bedhead) and stood in front of the bulldozer until the driver noticed me. When he finally did, I asked him how much he would charge to clear our yard also. His answer: FREE! Now $0.00 later, our yard looks much better.

Jena, I miss you. And of course you have beautiful taste in furniture. I'm glad you got such a great deal and what a lucky break on the bulldozing!

Wow! What a beautiful desk! And Jena, girls can be pregnant and cute at the same time! Now all you have to do is dig a big hole and you will have your backyard pool!

What a lot of topics all at one time!

NICE! Way to go with the free weed job. You should send him a Christmas card this year.

I love the office, and, your description of the dozer-driver plea to clear your plot.
