Nathan's Graduation: Viva L.A.

My family in front of Nate's exhibit (final project). He designed an entire building. Nathan

Nate getting his diploma

Jessica eating at Bubba Gump Shrimp, a seafood place at the end of Santa Monica pier

Eating at a really nasty Danish restaruant in Solveng (a Danish town 2 hours north of L.A... somehow it took us a lot longer to get there despite the GPS)

Nate and Michelle hanging out in Solveng

Solveng

Chowing down danish pastery. yeah. pretty much had to walk around with my pants unbuttoned after that.

We ate at a dim sum restaruant. It is similar to the Brazillian restaurants where waiters bring around different foods and you pick what you want. Only this is a Chinese restaurant. It was in a big convention-style room and was FULL of people. Most of my family liked the food, but I could barely look at it. Just thinking about it makes me gag.

Me and Ben at the hotel. Our first room smelled TERRIBLE. I slept with my shirt over my nose. We did this for two days. Finally, I talked to the front desk and got a new room that didn't smell so badly. The guy at the front desk thinks I'm spoiled, but I could at least breath that night!
My brother, Nathan, just graduated with his master's degree of architecture from UCLA (one of the top programs in the country). We went to L.A. for his graduation. I am so proud of him! It was a lot of fun and full of good memories.

Why is it that I had no idea you had a blog??? I finally feel like I can keep tabs on you. You look so grown up in the pictures.... well, except for the pastry one, that is something my fun-loving roommate would have done, so you can't be all that old yet right? Congrats on Graduating! I am so excited for you! I am thinking of coming down there in August or September with a girl friend for a weekend get away from our kids, if i do we will need to hang out!
