My foot fought a good fight, but it was no match for the treachery of our apartment stairs (which lack a banister and don't meet fire code, giving them an unfair advantage). In it's weakened state, my foot was grossly unprepared for the attack of the blunt end of a needle that still had a piece of thread in it (an interesting twist as I don't sew). The toe was easily fixed when Ben came home from work and pulled the needle out with a pair of pliers. The ankle is still trying to pull itself together. At least now I don't have to carry stuff up and down stairs. Hopefully, Ben doesn't stop doing all the hauling when my foot is better and for Christmas I'd like my newly formed cankle to disappear. :)

Oh Jena.... that looks so painful!! It's a funny story though... makes it a little more worth it right? Well, at least when it feels better it'll be more funny!
Oh my gosh Jena, it looks awful. I am sorry, that sucks. Hang in there, if you need anything call me.
That is a great picture. Pretty gnarly and awesome. I'm so sorry for your foot though, good thing your house is up to code right? Merry Christmas you guys!
I'm so sorry Jena! OUCH! Does it hurt really really badly??
Jena, you poor thing! That looks awful! Seriously, Ben owes you some good foot rubs when it's all better! :)
Ouch! That looks so painful! You should probably let Ben cook, clean, and everything else for you while you elevate it. Probably best in a bubble bath with a good book...
